Irish Dog Foods

Throughout the years

1996

Commenced manufacturing natural treats in a small facility on the main site at Maudlins Industrial estate.

1998

Additional investment into ovens and packing. A small factory in Arklow which was producing 7000 tons of dry dog food. Relocated to Maudlins Industrial Estate.

2000

Invested in a state-of-the-art dry manufacturing facility in Gowran Co. Kilkenny called ‘Rednut’.

2001

Moved to new factory packing treats and our Head Office.

2005

Moved the packing operation from the Maudlins site to the Naas Industrial Estate.

2007

Expanded into additional buildings in Naas Industrial Estate and commenced production of fermented products.

2008

Acquired a dry and moist production facility in the UK (Bennington Foods).

2011

Acquired additional production unit and named it the JFK Production Facility.

2012

Ovens 1 & 2 commissioned within the new production Facility.

2013

Got USDA approval to produce & export product for the US.

2016

4 additional ovens commissioned within the JFK facility bring the total number to six.

2017

Acquired an additional warehousing facility adjacent to JFK.

2018

New cold store added to the JFK facility, adding 2200 pallet spaces.

2019

JFK production facility extended to accommodate automated packing line (Bagger 1).

2021

Ovens 7 & 8 and Bagger 2 Installed.

2022

Further expansion to cooking capacity to service export markets.

2024

JFK Junior is born.
